Wicked Roots & Botanicals

Wild-Simulated Medicinal Agriculture & Native Forest Nursery Stock

The Provenance Standard

Authentic forest stewardship over volume production

We do not mass produce. Every root, leaf, and sapling is stewarded by hand under natural woodland canopy in Piscataquis County, Maine. Grown slowly in native clay soils and sheltered by birch, maple, and cedar, our stock develops true wild morphology and uncompromised strength.

Zero chemical acceleration. Zero artificial shortcuts. We adhere strictly to natural maturity timelines—delivering botanicals and cold-hardy stock built on patience, resilience, and proven origin.

Rootstock Age Guarantees

Strict harvest thresholds for maximum integrity

American Ginseng

Panax quinquefolius 10–12 Year Minimum

Wild-simulated rootstock grown on natural northern slopes under dense hardwood canopy. Harvested strictly at 10 to 12 years of age to guarantee dense root neck rings and natural ginsenoside profile.

Goldenseal

Hydrastis canadensis 8–9 Year Minimum

High-potency rhizomes and planting stock grown under rich forest shade. Matured for 8 to 9 years prior to harvest to allow deep yellow berberine accumulation and heavy root fiber.

Black Cohosh

Actaea racemosa Forest Harvest

Native woodland rhizomes cultivated in natural leaf mold. Known for robust root structure and exceptional hardiness in severe freeze cycles.
